It’s not often we get the chance to relax on a Sunday afternoon but when we do myself and @anjnee82 love to explore new places, so far, @empirecafeleeds it is a winner!!!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to do a re-visit to another one of our customers, and what a surprise I saw! Last year we supplied rootball Prunus Lusitanica so that they could plant a fresh hedge at the front roadside of their house, and I couldn’t believe how well it has come on in one year, the pictures don’t do the customers efforts justice!!!

Eanie, meanie, miny, mo, pick your plants, pay, then go!!! Despite the weather, and always thriving to give you that little bit more, we have in stock now these beauties! Whether you are wanting the tropical look or a big statement piece that also gives colour, we have got you covered, Boss Man is here ready to help!!! Take advantage too of the Acer’s which are just starting to show colour, a stunning shrub which will add interest the year through!

Welcome to the laural forest, Boss Man just seems to keep himself planted in there! (I think it’s so he doesn’t have to do much!!!). Joking aside though, if you have a hedge that you want to start or even add to, laural is the perfect start! Or why not add one of these other beauties, all will make your garden stand out!!!

Another late night shopping!!!

Some of you may remember, that when we did our annual pilgrimage to a trade show in January, we hinted at the citrus trees we had available, well now we have dropped the hammer and pulled them into stock! Just look at the size and quality of those that are growing!!! Available in 2 sizes, I’m sure that you will agree when I say that home grown never tasted, smelled or looked as good, now do I make a Gin or 2, or do I have something sweeter with a cheesecake?!!!

As the days are getting longer and the weather is trying its best to get better, there is no doubt that your garden is growing and showing life (as it should be now!). With that in mind, look at these beauties as they are just starting to flower and a great addition to any garden!

It’s non stop this morning, I feel like I’ve been chasing my tail!!! Not only have we had some fresh pot and pack Pansy, Primula and Viola delivered, we have also got our first crop of veg and strawberry plants. Nothing beats home grown!!!

Fresher than morning dew in the middle of spring, these Photinia, Goldcrest and Heathers will add colour and that finishing touch to your beds, borders or even pots!

Meet the new security team leader at HQ!!!

Boss Man’s done something special here! An alternative to Buxus, here at HQ, we have sourced something a little bit different, Ilex Crenata to be precise! These grow just the same as Buxus, nice glossy leaves, tight in growth and evergreen, the bonus is that they grow faster! We have them in both the green and the golden gem variety, now the only thing that you have to decide is where and how many do you need!!!

Despite the weather we have had recently, we still strive to bring you the best! These LIVING Willow are another example! But what a lot of people don’t know or is common knowledge, is that each one is hand woven!

Not a rain cloud in sight… hopefully I can put the waders away today!!!

Over the years we have done many deliveries to customers, whether it be to their homes or places of work. Every so often, one property will always stand out, it may be for the location, products delivered or just simply they were nice people to work with! On this occasion however, Chris and Alison fell into all of the above! Last year, HQ supplied them with a combination of LARGE Bay standards, Buxus hedging and Hydrangea Annabelle. The brief was to give their entrance walkway that wow factor, and judging by the pictures that Alison has provided, I think we have achieved!!! If you have any similar requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!!!

I hate to say this, but what you are about to see over the next coming days may (or will most definitely!) have a direct impact on: 1, Your well being, 2, The aesthetics of your outdoor space, AND 3, Your finances (4, Hopefully not your relationship with your partner!!!) We have been promising for a few days now that you will get the chance to see what our 2024 range looks like, well here is the first (of many!), instalment of what you can expect!

This will be the first post of many, you may get excited or you may get bored, but one thing is for certain, you will want to make sure that you have at least one plant from our HUGE BUY IN, in your garden!!!

Yesterday was one of those days where it would have been easier to shower outside!!!, but it did give us chance to do another nursery visit, and again we came back with some goodies! Some of you may remember that we were able to source and sell 20pack Pansy and Viola for £3.50 per pack last year, well, don’t ask how but we have managed to do it again, we have held the price for this year, BUT, once they go, THATS IT!!!

Fresh in this morning and with enough colour to melt away even the darkest of days!!!

Another one just in, I will warn you all though, be prepared for the ultimate photo spam when it comes to showcasing, we have A LOT of new and exciting products to go through!!!

We often get asked if we can source larger plants for hedging, this is just an example which is going out to the customer in the morning, they have just been delivered too!!! Prunus Rotundifolia at 8ft tall nice and bushy!!! Please call with your requirements!!!

Even though we were not open today, it was still a working day, we took the opportunity to do a nursery visit to collect some trees, overall a very productive day!

Hopefully we have all gotten over the festivities of Christmas with as little damage as possible, it’s now time to start thinking and planning for the growing season and those jobs which you promised that you would start in the new year! For those of you that are planning on that new hedge, now is the time to start , with bare root, rootball and potted hedging all available, please get in touch with your requirements (we can even supply a finished hedge if you’re budget allows!). It’s that time of year again and this year, I have to admit, we have the best we have ever had! No festive season would be complete without the best tree, and here we have them, and the best bit, most of them come blocked so you won’t have that worry of making sure it fits in the stand and is it secure!!! All our Christmas Trees are premium grade Nordman Spruce, their needle retention is brilliant and we can honestly say, the vast majority of our trees are grown here in Yorkshire! The only thing left for you to do is to rearrange your room to make space for the perfect tree!!!

Yes we have to admit that it is slightly doom and gloom when we look out our windows today, but DON’T let that stop you from adding that splash of sunshine with these vibrant colours, guaranteed to put that smile back on your face!!!

They have had to keep themselves amused for the last three days (and if you are a parent of young kids, you know that equates to them nearly killing each other and we as the parents nearly pulling out all our hair!!!), so for today and tomorrow we will be referee/keeping them busy!!! Despite this HORRIFIC weather, here at HQ, we still like to make sure that we have the freshest quality and today is DEFINITELY NO EXCEPTION!!! Fresh in this morning we managed to secure these Super Value Hanging Chelsea Pots (I still have to attach the hangers!!!), to add that splash of colour, and the best bit… THEY ARE ONLY £5.00 each, but beware, once they go, we can not get anymore. Don’t worry if you miss them though, just look at the mixed wicker baskets, available in 2 sizes and they would definitely look pride of place once hung! But, WE HAVE MORE!, Pack Wall Flower, Viola and Pansy all looking brilliant and for the first time since we can’t remember, Single Pot Silver Leaf, don’t be the last one here or you will miss out!!!

For all the down side that’s associated with this time of year, you have to agree that it too brings out some stunning colours in your garden, like this weeping Acer Palmatum for example, I think you would agree that the deep orange is just on another level!!!

With winter on its way, we all deserve that little bit of colour to make us feel happy!!!

I honestly thought that we were heading into spring and not winter this morning when I saw this Standard Magnolia sending out a flower!!! (I even checked my calendar!!!) But either way, you have to agree that the colour is just stunning! Possible the next best purchase that you will have to make!!!

It’s been a busy old morning today but we’ll worth the efforts that everyone had put in! Not only did our Bay tree delivery arrive but so did out fresh range of Light Weight Terracotta Pots in these stunning finishes! If you want that modern, contemporary but classy finish, look no further!
